Kathie's daughter-in-law, Erica Gifford, posted three images of her son to celebrate the milestone. Cody and Cassidy grew up and moved out of the house, and just a few years later, in 2015, Frank Gifford passed away at the age of 84. “That huge beautiful memory-filled home was like a morgue to me,” Kathie Lee told USA Today.

However, they sold the home after a short while because it did not offer the pair the privacy they desired. Instead, they purchased a $5.8 million home in a much more secluded and more remote area of the island.

In November 2019, she appeared on the “Today” show and shared that she has been living more happily after her relocation. “Happy Birthday to the woman who shines brightly, is precious with baby Frank and makes us all laugh so hard we sometimes pooje and to the warmest giant of a man in heaven. Telling PEOPLE that she loves going back to the New York area for visits after moving to Tennessee in 2019, she added, "but my son and his wife live there now. And that just makes me so happy."

It has a beautiful location too, as it sits right on the edge of the water and is about 1.5 hours drive from the center of Miami. She transformed one of the outdoor areas into a fully equipped bar which overlooks the beautiful water and is where she hosts many a summer party with family and friends. There is also a private dining area with a huge dining table which sits directly next to the water’s edge.
